A 9-year-old girl was found unconscious and lying face down in her living room at Kampung Gual To’Deh, Kelantan, and was later pronounced dead.

Nur Iezarra Abd Talib’s older brother, Muhammad Denish Alfi, said she had complained about neck pain and cried non-stop during the night, as reported by Berita Harian.

Her body was already stiff

The 14-year-old shared how the victim started shaking in pain like she was having a seizure. He tried to help by rubbing her body and telling her to stay calm.

He said their mom, Yusnieta Mohd Lawi, who was sick with a fever, also got up to help by playing Quranic verses to calm her down, and eventually, Iezarra fell back asleep.

By around 12:15 PM, Denish tried to lift Iezarra up but was shocked to find her body had already gone stiff.

Their mom wasn’t able to move her body

After that, Denish quickly tried waking up his mom, thinking she was just asleep, but he was shocked to find that the 40-year-old couldn’t move, and her left hand was limp, likely due to a stroke.

He immediately told his dad, Abd Talib Abdullah, 42, who wasn’t home at the time and asked the villagers for help to call rescue agencies to get them to the hospital.

Both the victim and the mom were sent to the hospital

Meanwhile, Pasir Mas police chief, Kama Azural Mohamed, said they received a report about the incident.

Officers had to use a truck to take the victim and her unconscious mom to Pasir Mas Hospital (HPM) since the area was flooded.

They found bruises on the victim’s lower cheek and right ear. However, the hospital confirmed she passed away at 8:30 PM on November 30.
