An extremely underrated artform, many people do not often discuss just how magical pictures can turn out to be if you have the right photographer. Rain or shine, the proper angle and direction on how to pose can turn something rather concerning into a delightful outcome.

Such was the case for a series of images captured by Malaysian photographer Piwan Wan, who shared a recent wedding photoshoot he conducted for a couple under some undesired circumstances. In the clip which was posted to his TikTok account @piwan_wan, Wan revealed how a bride and groom’s post-wedding outdoor photoshoot went through a little snag when it started to rain.

Nevertheless, the trio decided to soldier through the harsh rainfall and strong waves at a beach to hopefully capture some worthwhile images. Getting their garments wet in the process, Wan’s direction and manoeuvring of the couple through the environment helped them create some of the most beautiful pictures.

Here are some of the gorgeous photos captured by Wan:

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Wan stated that the photos were taken at Pandak Beach in Chendering. While the photoshoot was always intended to take place outdoors, Wan stated that the sudden heavy rainfall was a concern to the ensemble, who also had to walk quite a distance from their car to get to the beach.

“Thank goodness the bride’s dress was her own, so she didn’t mind if it got a little wet. They were also sporting enough to embrace the moment, which is why I think the photos came out as good as it did,” said Wan to WORLD OF BUZZ.

Garnering a positive response online, many users also mentioned how lovely the images turned out, praising Wan’s photography skills in the process. However, a couple of users couldn’t help but make funny jokes in the comments section, with one user saying that while she’d love to recreate something similar for herself when she gets married, she doesn’t have a partner to carry it out with yet.
