It’s no secret that Malaysians are rather reckless when it comes to following road rules, from parking wherever we please to making U-turns where we’re not supposed to.

With that being said, we’re sure we’ve all racked up quite the amount of summons to go with our reckless behaviour, which are going to add up towards hefty fines.

Thankfully, the government is now offering up to 50% off PDRM summons from February 23 (Friday) to February 25 (Sunday) at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex, as shared by the Malaysia MADANI Facebook page.

Summons 1

They wrote, “Reduction of summon compound payment rates of up to 50% for selected offenses in conjunction with the MADANI Rakyat Zon Tengah programme. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity from February 23 to February 25, 2023, at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex.”

Though, unfortunately, this offer does not apply to all compounds.

Here are the 1o compounds that the discount does not apply to:

  • Accidents
  • Court trial failure
  • Faults relating to heavy vehicles
  • Cutting (or changing) lanes dangerously
  • Usage of the emergency lane
  • Non-compoundable offenses (NC)
  • Not obeying red traffic lights
  • Cutting (or changing) lanes on double lines
  • Faults relating to exhaust modification
  • Summons in regards to OP Selamat status

These summon discount is only applicable at the location mentioned by the government and further terms and conditions may apply.

Well, we know what we’re doing this weekend. Queueing up for summon discounts at the Kuala Selangor Sports Complex.
