A local man was found dead in his car on Monday (April 21) after he felt ill from smoking e-cigarettes at a birthday party in Kuala Lumpur the night before (Sunday, April 20).
According to a report by China Press, Kuala Lumpur Police Chief, Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, shared that the 34-year-old man was found dead in his car that was parked outside an entertainment venue on Jalan Sultan Ismail.

“At about 8 o’clock yesterday morning (April 21), the deceased’s friends found him lying in the car unconscious and foaming at the mouth, and then confirmed that he was dead,” he said.
The deceased, who worked for an auto parts store, was at the entertainment venue on Sunday night (April 20) for a friend’s birthday party, where he smoked an e-cigarette.
“During this process, the deceased had difficulty breathing and felt his body heat up, so he moved from indoors to outdoors for fresh air, and then turned on the air conditioning in his car to cool down,” Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa added.

The man later lost consciousness before foaming at the mouth and dying.
The police have since received a report in regards to this incident and have launched an investigation from the perspective of a sudden death, as the body of the deceased showed no obvious wounds.
The body has been sent to a hospital for autopsy, and the authorities are waiting for the toxicology reports before confirming the specific cause of death.
