As if sexual assaults aren’t disgusting crimes already, there are actual sickos in this world who are heartless enough to destroy the innocence of children.

Sexualising somebody for their body parts is not only rude but outright demeaning; and it’s even more worse when it’s a child’s body in question.

For this very reason, a Barisan Nasional (BN) lawmaker came up with the idea of branding child perpetrators, especially incestuous ones, with a piping hot iron.

During a question and answer (Q&A) session in the Parliament on November 23, 2017, Datuk Ahmad Lai Bujang shared,

“May I suggest that the man who does such a thing… we take a hot iron rod and brand him so he feels the pain and suffering of the victim.”

The Star reported that Ahmad Lai reasoned that this punishment was suitable because not only would the child suffer from the trauma, but even the entire family as well.

And of course, how sadistic could a man be that he would actually hurt his own children that way!

Unfortunately, Ahmad Lai’s suggestion was completely ignored by the Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Azizah Dun.

The Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Seri Ismail Mohamad Said then moved on to the next question.

Of course, Malaysians were actually elated about this punishment for paedophiles. Many netizens commented their support for this as they too, agreed that paedophiles should carry the same burden on their skin.

One very upset netizen wrote,

“The MP is right! He has a good workable suggestion to punish those child sex crime offenders. Why is there no answer from the Women, Family and Community Development minister?

“At the very least, she needs to discuss whether to impose such law of punishment or not! These paedophiles need the stern law to clamp them off. Otherwise, the community will not be safe.”

What do you guys think of this suggestion? Should our ministers actually consider such punishment at all? Let us know in the comment section!
