In a surprising turn of events, a routine roadblock on Jalan Bangsar turned into a heated confrontation when a motorcyclist, caught with fake plates and no license, decided to argue with JPJ officers about the ‘inconvenience’ caused by the checkpoint.
According to the New Straits Times, the motorcyclist berated Road Transport Department officials for detaining him during a roadblock last night (November 29).
The man, in his 20s, was initially stopped at the roadblock when his motorcycle did not have a front registration number.
At first, he made excuses that the bike belonged to his friend, but further checks revealed that he also did not have a valid driver’s license.
Since he was unhappy that his motorcycle would be impounded, he behaved rudely and questioned the authority of the RTD personnel.
Upon further investigation, the RTD also found that the motorcycle was found to have a fake registration number.
Maybe don’t attract further attention to yourself when you’re already in the wrong.
