The Raya holiday is almost ending and everyone is making their way home to get back to their routine life. However, before you head back, it’s best if you’re up-to-date with the weather, so you can plan your trip back timely.

So, you may want to jot down the information we have in store for you.

According to The Star, Kuala Lumpur is forecasted to have no rain today (Friday, 7 June 2019). Perhaps, this is the best time for you to travel back to your home!

Nevertheless, the city is expected to face thunderstorms on Saturday (8 June 2019) and Sunday (9 June 2019). Meanwhile, three places – Penang, Muar and Ipoh – are expected to experience thunderstorms on Friday and throughout the weekend.

The temperature in the above-mentioned cities is forecasted to be between 24°C and 34°C, according to the myCuaca application which is an initiative by the Malaysia Meteorological Department. Oh, cool app!

On the other hand, cities like Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu and Seremban are expected to experience dry weather but they are also forecasted to face occasional thunderstorms. Those who live around the area may want to take note!

As for East Malaysia, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Lahad Datu are expected to experience isolated rain for the next few days.

Similarly, several areas in Sarawak – like Kuching, Miri and Sibu – are also predicted to have isolated rain and thunderstorms during the weekend.

This is mainly because rain can decrease the visibility of roads and the roads’ wet surface can “reduce the grip of car tyres”. He further added that the second phase of Ops Selamat 15 begun yesterday (6 June 2019). Good thing!

Having said that, it’s best to stay away from driving especially if the weather is very bad. Nonetheless, if you can’t avoid driving during the rain, here’s what you can do:
