Most people get married when they’re ready and when they’re SURE of the person that they have decided to spend the rest of their lives with. Simply put, when love is in the air, 2 people get married.

A 40 year-old internet celebrity in China recently married the woman of his choice – a bride from Laos who is 14 years younger than him. The pair tied the knot in August 2023 and has since gained attention on the Internet, mainly due to the bride’s sweet face and body structure, which you can see on his official YouTube account @林老师的旅行.

But that’s not all.

The bride recently revealed her reason of marrying the man. It’s about what he has – an air-conditioner. The woman has always wanted one to feel the breeze.

“Where I came from, it’s so hot. I didn’t have an air-conditioning and I’ve always wanted one.”

When the man jokingly asked if that was the sole reason of her marrying him, the bride from Laos gave an honest review.

“Of course I love you, but having an air-cond is a bonus.”

The pair had a simple and modest wedding at his girlfriend’s house and the man revealed that they didn’t spend too much on the wedding – RMB13,000 (approximately RM8,500). The expenses included the village chief’s wedding certificate processing and buying pigs. The gifts were also less than RMB10,000 (approximately RM6,500).

Since their marriage, the man often shares life vlogs and the daily tidbits of life with his wife, including her cooking, house chores, and their travel together. You can watch one of their vlogs in the video below.

Who says you need a grand wedding to be happy? The man didn’t spend a fortune but she met the love of his life and they’re living happily, and like the bride said, the air-con is a plus point!
