Guys, in case you didn’t know, just because a lady had sex with someone else before that, doesn’t mean that you are automatically entitled to have sex with her unless she consents to it, okay? So, please keep it in your pants unless the lady says yes!

Recently, 40-year-old Daler Singh, a construction worker from India learnt this lesson the hard way when he tried to rape an Indonesian national who used to work in Singapore as a maid last year.
The incident happened on January 24 at Choa Chu Kang Park when the former maid visited the park with 33-year-old Jagraj Singh at around 8pm.
According to the Straits Times, the victim was introduced to Jagraj through a mutual friend earlier and they met Daler with several other friends in the park for the first time that evening. In the next 10 minutes, Jagraj and the woman headed over to a secluded grassy area and had consensual sex.

When the deed was done, Jagraj asked Daler to hand over some tissue paper so that the couple could clean up. He went over to pass a packet of tissue paper to them. Deputy Public Prosecutor Sruthi Boppana said,
“Whilst doing so, the accused observed the victim in a state of undress. Upon seeing this, the accused was sexually aroused and told the victim that he also wanted to have sexual intercourse with her. The victim declined the accused’s request.”
After that, all three of them went over to a nearby pavilion to eat some fruits that Daler had brought. 15 minutes later, the victim and Jagraj went back to the grass patch to have consensual sex again. The former maid cleaned then herself up while Jagraj returned to the pavilion.
That was when Daler tried to get lucky again and asked the victim to have sex. She declined his request for the second time. Eh bro, she said no, okay!

DPP Sruthi said, “As the victim was preparing the leave the area, the accused caught hold of her by using his left hand to hold onto her waist and his right hand to lift up her legs. He then carried her over and placed her back on the grass patch at the same secluded area.”
The accused tried to have sex with her for about six times even as she struggled violently to free herself. Luckily, he gave up on his attempts 10 minutes later and walked away from the crying woman.
The woman walked over to another pavilion when Jagraj came up to her while she was still crying.

She was furious with Jagraj for not stopping the accused’s actions but he only answered her by asking her to follow him back. She walked away and asked for help from a good Samaritan, who helped her lodge a police report. Daler Singh was arrested by the police two days later.
The court sentenced him to four years and nine months’ jail with four strokes of the cane for attempted rape.
Let’s hope Daler finally learnt his lesson that no means no!
