When Christmas comes around, many of us will be celebrating it with family. However, for orphans, a little kindness goes a long way for them.
Recently, Farah Azmin shared to Twitter how she received a Christmas wish list from the children of Rumah Destiny in Gombak.
“There are 12 children in this home, so we each decided to contribute one gift from the wish list with a hand written card,” she wrote in the post.
The children of that home even specially requested for McDonald’s for lunch, and they got what they wished for!
Farah further shares how doing this good deed means a lot to her as a mother as well.
“Ever since I became a mother, my father has always emphasised on responsibility, not just to those under our care but also to others around us. Thanks Abah @azminali for motivating us to do this today and for always encouraging us to go the extra mile.”
Christmas is a celebration of togetherness, giving and looking out for one another.
In a multiracial society, we learn to live harmoniously in diversity.
Thank you Liyana, kids and Inayah for doing this. I’m proud of all of you. I hope everyone had a good time#MerryChristmas https://t.co/3Gp0Wep5mn
