Political activist @thaqibshaker recently shared his frustrations on TikTok over 2 leaders’ decision to, as he put it, “give away KTM Bhd’s plots of land for free” to Singapore.

In the video, he called it out, saying it’s shocking how Malay leaders have done this not once, but 3 times, giving away all sorts of free stuff to Singapore.

“One is in prison, while the other is being praised”

Thaqib mentioned that both leaders justified handing over land belonging to the main railway operator in Peninsular Malaysia to Singapore by saying it would allow the land to be developed and Malaysia would eventually benefit from the deal.

“Apparently, this happened 4 times now, with 2 of them happening during our lifetime. Both leaders are still alive. One’s been imprisoned, while the other is still being praised like a hero,” he said.

He then questioned the move, asking if transferring national assets to a foreign country was necessary to develop the land, especially since the 999-year lease period had yet to end.

“Don’t you feel like we’ve been tricked by Singapore?”

Thaqib also called out the high development costs Singapore is allegedly charging for the replacement lands given to Malaysia, questioning whether Singapore is taking advantage of Malaysia in this deal.

He pointed out that there are still many unanswered questions about the losses Malaysia faced from giving up KTMB lands to Singapore, which he says happened because of the foolishness of those leaders.”

“But it’s weird how none of the ultra-Malays care about this. You know why? Because they don’t even know about it. All they know is to blame the Chinese for everything. It’s always DAP’s fault.”
