After almost a month of daily cases reaching the 100s, Malaysia is finally seeing a breakthrough. Just as we are reaching the 5,000 mark, we are also seeing a decrease!

The Ministry of Health just reported 85 new Covid-19 cases bringing the total number to 5,072. As of now, there are 2,342 active cases and 83 deaths.

169 more patients have recovered bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,647, which is 52.18% of the total number.

This 85 new cases is the country’s lowest increase for the past one month, which indicates that the first and second phase of the movement control order is showing promising results. Therefore, complying to the rules and regulations of the third phase is crucial to wipe out Covid-19 in Malaysia.
