Just last week, a local gigolo was apprehended along with 2 of his companions for recording and selling dozens of video clips of his explicit activities with over 20 women, including those who hired him for sexual services.

On January 26, all 3 of them, Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, 32, Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, and Norhidayah Mahadi, 24, pleaded not guilty to charges of advertising sexual services using the X application (previously known as Twitter).

If found guilty under Section 372(1)(e) of the Penal Code, they must undergo a maximum of 15 years behind bars with whipping and a fine, reported BERNAMA.

Initially, this was an unbailable offence, but the DPP proposed a bail set at RM20,000 if the court allowed it.

The counsel of the 3 accused had requested a minimal bail amount, citing each of the individual’s backstories.

“My client, Hasli Ikhwan, is a father of three aged between four and 12. He also supports his father who is a kidney patient, while Norshazrina takes care of her 56-year-old mother, who has heart disease and Norhidayah has no fixed income.”

After hearing this, the judge allowed bail of RM10,000 with one surety for each of them, and February 28 will be the case mention and submission of documents.
