At a laundromat in Alor Setar, Kedah, a netizen recorded a mishap after a customer dumped a kilo of detergent into a washing machine and ran off, leaving it running.

Taking to social media, the netizen shared that the incident caused suds to overflow from the machine, resulting in a small flood at the premises.

“How can you put a huge packet of detergent? Where is your head at? This caused the whole laundromat to flood.”

According to eyewitnesses, a man was seen leaving the laundromat in a hurry after emptying the contents of his detergent packet. He was believed to be aware of his mistake but chose to walk away.

Upon reviewing CCTV footage, the store operator identified the individual. It reportedly took staff nearly an hour to clean up the affected area.

“The operator advises the public to follow usage guidelines to ensure optimal machine performance,” they added.

Look, it’s not rocket science to know how much detergent you need to clean your clothes.
