Family of Late M’sian Firefighter Adib Receives Ex-Gratia Payment of RM1.5 Million

The government has paid an ‘ex-gratia’ payment amounting in RM1.5 million to the family of the deceased firefighter, the late Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, on 29 November last year.

Based on a report by Berita Harian, Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob added that a special committee to investigate the death of Muhammad Adib has tabled their interim report on 15 March.

“This is proof of UMNO’s seriousness in defending the fate of the people. The case of Adib’s death is being investigated thoroughly and transparently and given the necessary defense,”

“While the investigation is still ongoing, the government has already paid ‘ex-gratia’ to the family of the deceased,” he shared during his speech at the UMNO General Assembly on Saturday, 19 March.

The late Muhammad Adib had passed away on 17 December 2018, after sustaining a broken rib and a punctured lung from the Seafield temple riot on 27 November 2018.
