“Obey the rules for the well-being of all road users.”
Malaysians share their two cents on the matter
While some welcomed the rule against cyclists on the highway, others pointed out that bicycles should be allowed on the motorcycle lane, as motorcyclists often don’t use them.
One netizen also pointed out that there should be designated time frames that allow cyclists to use the highway.

“Alhamdulillah, thank you, KESAS Highway. Before this, there were some times when I nearly got into accidents because of this bicycle gang, including foreign workers who use bicycles to travel to and from work.”

“Motorcyclists don’t even use the motorcycle lanes. Better to allow cyclists to use them.”

“But motorcyclists enter the KESAS Highway (main roads). There are motorcycle lanes, but they don’t use them. Just allow cyclists to use them.”
