The rescue works for the job scam victims abroad continue, and the victims who made it back had a lot to tell.

The job scam syndicate has claimed the lives of many innocent souls who were tricked into believing that the grass was greener on the other side, and many of the victims who were killed were Malaysians. Just recently, a few Malaysian victims who returned home safely revealed at a press conference that among the people responsible for the death of some Malaysian victims were also Malaysians, and they are only in their 20s!

The mastermind of the syndicate is allegedly men from China, but the surviving victim revealed that many of the responsible parties that work behind the scenes are Malaysians, some of them being Johoreans.

“They have different positions at the basecamp, such as the executive directors, and other ‘high-level’ directors,” one of the victims revealed.

By now, most of us are aware that the victims will be tortured for poor performance at work. But what you may not know is the victims, regardless of their nationalities, are tortured by some Malaysians who work for the syndicate.

And the torturing methods are undeniably nightmare fuels.

One of the victims revealed that he was once tortured by having a lit cigarette put into his ear, or forced to swallow buns mixed with unknown ingredients. Not only that but their physical strength was also put to test when they were forced to do plank for 30 minutes.

The torture did not happen every day, but poor performance would guarantee torture as punishment.

One of the victims also shared how he was tricked by the syndicate, who promised them a monthly wage of RM8,000, where meals and flight tickets are all included and sponsored. An amount of 10,000 Baht (approximately RM1,234) was also promised as pocket money.

The rescue work has been ongoing for months, and we hope that all the victims will be rescued so that they could return home safely in no time.
