AI Is Only the Beginning: M360 ASEAN 2026 Is Bringing Tech Leaders to KL This Sept

Technology is changing pretty much everything around us. The way we pay, work, shop, communicate, and even run businesses looks very different from just a few years ago. And across ASEAN, that digital shift is only picking up pace.

But as things move forward, it’s not just about keeping up with the latest tech. It’s also about making sure the right infrastructure, safeguards, and support are in place so everyone can benefit.

On 9–10 September, M360 ASEAN 2026 is bringing the region’s digital leaders together in Kuala Lumpur to talk about the digital future of ASEAN!

So, what are the big things shaping ASEAN’s digital future? Let’s take a closer look.

A closer look at M360 ASEAN 2026

With so much changing in the digital space, M360 ASEAN 2026 offers a chance for the people shaping that future to come together and compare ideas. That’s the idea behind this event.

Taking place on 9–10 September in Kuala Lumpur, the regional conference will bring together policymakers, regulators, technology leaders, mobile operators and industry players to explore some of the issues that matter most to ASEAN’s digital growth.

That includes everything from AI and connectivity to digital trust, resilience and regional cooperation.

A lot is happening in ASEAN’s digital space

There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to ASEAN’s digital future.

Across Southeast Asia, more businesses are going online, digital payments are becoming part of everyday life, and technologies like AI are opening up new ways to connect. There’s also a big opportunity for countries in the region to work more closely together, making it easier for businesses to reach customers and markets across ASEAN.

But it’s not always that simple. Each country has its own regulations, infrastructure, and priorities, which can make it harder for businesses and digital services to operate across borders. So, it’s not just about adopting new technology. It’s also about finding ways to make digital growth work better across the region and for more people.

Connectivity is still the foundation

It’s easy to take connectivity for granted. We use it every day to make payments, work remotely, catch up with friends or simply stream something on our phones.

But as we rely on technology for more, our networks need to keep up too. AI tools, cloud services and smart devices all need fast, reliable connections to work well. For ASEAN, strong connectivity is key to making sure businesses can reach new markets, digital services stay accessible, and more people can take part in the region’s growing digital economy.

Malaysia has a role to play

With M360 ASEAN 2026 happening in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is also getting a chance to contribute to the wider conversation around ASEAN’s digital future.

For MCMC, the event is an opportunity to share Malaysia’s experience while learning from what other countries and industries are doing. As the country’s communications and multimedia regulator, MCMC plays an important role in supporting a digital environment that is connected, safe and trusted.

Why M360 ASEAN is worth paying attention to

Beyond the bigger conversations around ASEAN’s digital future, M360 ASEAN is also a chance for people in the industry to meet others in the space and explore new opportunities.

Here are a few reasons to have it on your radar:

• Meet the right people: Connect with policymakers, regulators, telecom executives, and technology leaders from across ASEAN, and explore potential partnerships and opportunities.
• See what’s coming next: Get a closer look at where the industry is heading, from 5G and future connectivity to AI, digital regulation and cross-border digital trade.
• Get your business noticed: For technology companies and service providers, it’s an opportunity to showcase what you do, meet potential enterprise clients and connect with mobile operators looking for new solutions.

Whether you’re there to make connections, pick up new industry insights or explore business opportunities, there’s plenty to get out of M360 ASEAN.

Building a digital future that works for everyone

Technology will continue to change the way ASEAN lives, works and connects. But making the most of that progress will take more than just adopting the latest tech; it will take countries and industries working together too.

That’s where platforms like M360 ASEAN 2026 come in. By bringing different voices from across the region into the same space, it creates opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and find ways to move forward together.

With the event happening in Kuala Lumpur on 9–10 September, there’s plenty to look forward to as ASEAN continues shaping its digital future.
