As the saying goes, a little jealousy is healthy in a relationship. For a woman in Wangsa Maju, this particular piece of advice proved to be destructive as she was beaten up by her husband after having an argument about him looking at other women.

According to Harian Metro, at around 11pm yesterday, the 40-year-old woman had a little argument with her husband because she was jealous that he was looking at other women. However, things took a turn for the worse when the 41-year-old man slapped his wife a few times.

Instead of stopping at that and apologising, he continued to pull her hair and beat her for a few minutes. He then cussed at her and chased her out of the house.

With the bruises that she received on her arms and head, she went to lodge a police report because she was worried that it might happen again.

According to the police, this case has been referred to the Syariah court.

Folks, there is always a solution to every problem and it’s not violence. Being an adult is to talk things out in a civil matter while respecting each other. In the event of an argument with a significant other, please sit down and discuss, rather than resorting to violence.
