A Japanese gigolo has chosen Malaysia as part of his location to settle down.
Ryuta Watanabe, a 36-year-old influencer, previously relied entirely on his 3 wives to make a living. Today, he makes over RM35,000 a month and lives with his three wives and four children (including twins who are about to be born).
Ryuta also has a fourth wife who lives separately and seven more children from a previous relationship.
He has gained widespread attention for his unconventional, polygamous lifestyle, but here’s the thing. Japan DOES NOT allow polygamy, so to “get away” with his lifestyle, Ryuta did not legally marry his wives, reported the South China Morning Post.
He became an influencer in 2024 and created social media accounts before assigning each wife to manage one.
Aside from considering Malaysia as part of his location for a double life (apart from Hokkaido), Ryuta has a goal to achieve – he dreams of fathering 54 children, surpassing the record of Tokugawa Ienari, a Japanese shogun who fathered 53 children with 27 concubines.
Well, that’s not so surprising, considering that Ryuta once declared himself that “he was born to be a gigolo.”
Ryuta was in Malaysia
He visited Malaysia in September 2023 and shared a photo on Instagram with one of his wives at Batu Caves. He expressed interest in moving to Malaysia, saying,
“Considering living two lives in Malaysia and Hokkaido.”
With his prolific life, imagine if Ryuta settled down in Malaysia – he could become one of the most controversial personalities to reside in Malaysia.
With Malaysia already having over 32,000 sugar daddies, do you think Ryuta will make it in Malaysia? Which state do you think he would live in?
