The balloon trader involved in the scuffle with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) enforcement officers has lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi District Police Headquarters (IPD) today (April 6).

The report was made by Abang Belon, whose real name is Muhammad Zaimuddin Azlan, 28, at around 11:09 am, accompanied by his parents, lawyer Rafique Rashid, Che’gu Bard, and medical practitioner Dr Mohd. Hafidz Rizal.

Muhammad Zaimuddin said he decided to make the report to defend himself and his family’s dignity.

“I sell balloons part-time during Ramadan and Hari Raya because my full-time job as a golf caddy doesn’t have much work during that period,” he shared at a press conference today.

“I want to change; it’s not easy being poor. I will fight because this is unjust. To the authorities, please act according to the law. I am just trying to earn a living for my family. We also want to celebrate Hari Raya like everyone else.”

Additionally, Muhammad Zaimuddin expressed his gratitude to all those who helped, including the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who visited him in the hospital recently.

“To those who commented with insulting words, I pray that you do not go through what I have experienced. I watched the viral video and I apologise to my mother, father, sister, and brother,” he explained.
