A Malaysian woman recently shared her marriage woes on the internet and said that it had ruined her life for 20-plus years.

According to China Press, the issues first began when she was 17. After her father’s passing away, her family was struggling financially, and she was asked to drop out of school and get married early to help her family. Unfortunately, she was then married at 18 to someone she didn’t love.

“After 20 years of marriage, my pronouns were “hey” when I am close and “hoi” when I am far away. It sounds very intimate,” she added sarcastically. “For example: “Hey, what are you doing?” This happens whenever I am cooking or out in the yard and following his orders slowly.”

She said that she was required to prepare whatever her husband wanted, 3 meals a day, on top of completing her regular housework and that she had to take 5 pills of Panadol daily to maintain her health.

During her first pregnancy, she suffered from unbearable headaches which left her crying from the pain. All her husband did when she was hurt was curse her for “being stupid” and for “making so much noise that he couldn’t sleep peacefully“.

Meanwhile, she also shared that she never asked for food while pregnant as she knew she would never get what she wanted. “I don’t have the right to eat anything. As long as I am not hungry, I can eat anything. This is what my husband taught me,” she said bitterly.

“My appetite, my wants, my dreams, were all just dreams! This is what I faced during the entire 20 years of marriage.”

Fortunately, the marriage is supposedly over as she referred to him as her ex-husband.
