We’re not too sure how to feel about this!
As reported by Chinese media, a Taiwanese husband posted on Facebook on 3 January, saying “Two years ago, my wife asked me what do I want for my birthday, I initially answered ‘nothing’, but eventually I said ‘why not you try to lose weight for me once in this lifetime?'”.
He even offered to gift her a 1-carat diamond ring if she loses her weight to 55kg. Two years later, the wife successfully lost 75kg of weight, from 130kg to 55kg. He happily posted a before and after picture of his wife with the caption “Queen mother, you did it”, and promised to give her the diamond ring on her birthday.
The post received vast attention from netizens, with many saying that the wife has done an amazing job in losing weight and it is impressive to lose 75kg of weight in just two years time. Some even said that the 1-carat diamond is a huge motivation, “I would lose weight immediately too if I have a 1-carat diamond”!
Although the post seems heartwarming and motivating, please keep in mind to lose weight in a healthy way, like following a nutritious diet and exercising! Besides, try not to force your other half to lose weight for you as you should embrace them for who they are and how they look like.
