Attention, housewives, widows, and single mothers all over Malaysia! The government has something in-store for you that will definitely benefit you greatly in the future!
Malaysiakini reported that that the registration for the Caruman Sukarela Insentif Suri (i-Suri) is available today (15 August 2018). The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) announced that eligible ladies can apply for i-Suri by registering as an EPF member at any of the 67 branches all over Malaysia.
The ladies who are legible for this incentive are housewives, widows and single mothers who are enlisted in the National Database on Poverty (eKasih). So, if you know anyone on this list, ask them to register for i-Suri TODAY!
Hence, those qualified for this incentive will receive RM40 that will be deposited into their EPF accounts every month.
The EPF Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Operations) Mohd Naim Daruwish’s statement read,
“The registration drive of i-Suri follows the launch of the Suri Housewives Incentive by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail last week at the EPF International Social Security Conference 2018.”
With that said, these individuals – who sign up for i-Suri – will also enjoy the exact same benefits like normal EPF members. Some of the benefits are as mentioned below:
- Annual dividends on retirement savings
- Age 50, 55, and 60 withdrawals
- Incapacitation benefit
- Death benefit
According to the statistics from eKasih, it was revealed that a total of 221,890 housewives, 98,536 widows, and 28,116 divorcees from the poorest segment of society will enjoy this incentive given by the government. Yay!
So, if you would like to know more about e-Kasih, you can contact the Malaysian Government Call Centre (MGCC) at 03-8000 8000. Besides that, you can also ring up the EPF Contact Management Centre (CMC) at 03-8922 6000 or visit their website to learn more about their services and this programme.
