Malaysians road users have always had problems with cyclists as they tend to cycle on main roads and end up disrupting traffic.

But, it now looks like MRT users also have problems with cyclists.

The Pedoq, what is this behaviour? Twitter page recently shared an image of a group of cyclists with their bicycles inside an MRT. While many were not happy that they managed to bring their bicycles into the MRT, others pointed out that the group (of male cyclists) can occupied the women’s coach.

While it may seem like something that’s not allowed, cyclists actually CAN bring in both foldable and non-foldable bicycles into the MRT on weekends and public holidays, whereas only foldable bicycles are allowed on weekdays at certain times.

Some netizens have even pointed out that bicycles are allegedly allowed into the MRT during non-peak hours.

Though, the cyclists were still in the wrong for occupying the women’s coach.

Many took to the post to call out the group of male cyclists for choosing to sit in the women’s coach when they could have easily made their way to the general coaches.

“Not only are they blocking the walkway but they’re also sitting at the women’s coach. They’re lucky that it wasn’t during peak hours or they would have been chased away.”

Cyclists 3

“Because men are sitting at the women’s coach quite often, soon you’ll noticed that women no longer sit at the women’s coach. You guys will get angry about that but that’s the thing.”

Cyclists 4

“Are the bicycles female bicycles?”
