Come to think of it, we would have a hard time getting our hunger pangs satisfied without the food delivery riders risking their lives just to send the orders right to our doorstep amidst this pandemic.

They are, in fact, one of the underappreciated frontliners!

As an honour and gratitude, Grab Malaysia has taken the liberty to express its gratitude towards its partners with  Grab’s very own comic series, as well as an animated short film!

This was done through Grab Lejen,  an annual, month-long crowd-driven appreciation campaign to shout out to the partners, which include the delivery riders and e-hailing drivers for sometimes going beyond their job scope just for the sake of customers’ satisfaction.

Grab Lejen Lahir Dari Kesungguhan

To kickstart the campaign, Grab Malaysia has released a 2 minute animated short film that highlights the real-life heartwarming stories involving the partners. The short film is known as Grab Lejen Lahir Dari Kesungguhan (Grab Legends Born From Sincerity) and is illustrated in the form of comic book pages.

Ujang creates a series of comics

Over the year, more and more Malaysians have come forward to share their experience of encountering with Grab Partners who have gone above and beyond their call of duty just to ensure the customers’ happiness.

After getting inspired by these great stories, Grab has decided to collaborate with Malaysian renowned cartoonist, Ujang to create a series of comics and illustrate the stories through the pages.

According to Grab’s official website, the comics will be revealed after Grab’s weekly live stream events throughout the month. Not only that, the real-life partners will also exclusive rewards from Grab as a token of appreciation for their hard work and efforts.

“Our partners have shown that there is nothing we cannot overcome as a nation. All it takes is a little kindness from everyone”, said the Director and Country Operation of Grab Malaysia, Rashid Shukor.

These abang-abang Grab have certainly done a lot for the nation and we would also like to extend our gratitude towards the Grab Partners for their incredible acts and kindness!
