For anyone living overseas, dealing with homesickness can be tough. One of the worst parts about being far away from home, however, definitely has to be missing our local food, and that’s something this Indonesian rapper knows all too well!
One of Indonesia’s most prolific rappers Brian Imanuel Soewarno (known as Rich Brian), who has been living in the United States for the past three years, and recently returned to his home country to meet with President Joko Widodo at the Bogor Presidential Palace.
The Indonesian president and the rapper discussed his music and his upcoming album titled ‘The Sailor‘.

A few weeks after his meeting with the president, Rich Brian made his way back to New York over the weekend (21st July) and took to Twitter saying that he already missed the food of his home country.

Surprisingly, Gojek Indonesia actually responded to Rich Brian’s tweet, asking him to DM them what he wanted to eat. What?!

Rich Brian did DM Gojek Indonesia his order, but was unsure if they would actually deliver it to him since he is currently all the way in New York. However, Gojek remained optimistic, simply telling him, “No problem, there’s always a way, bro.”

Fast forward two days later, and Rich Brian’s label 88rising tweeted a picture of the rapper collecting his food from a Gojek delivery man! Walao!

Well, regardless of whether or not this is a PR stunt, we’re glad Rich Brian got some good food from his home country!
