Royal Canin, a global leader in pet health nutrition, was one of the standout participants at the eighth instalment of Ekspo Kucing – Malaysia’s largest international cat expo, held from 3 to 5 October 2025 at MITEC Kuala Lumpur. The brand welcomed over 3,000 booth attendees across the weekend with a strong focus on its Start of Life initiative, emphasising the importance of giving cats the very best beginning through education and proper tailored nutrition.

“At Royal Canin, we believe every cat deserves the best possible start of life, and that begins with education, proper nutrition, and access to veterinary care. Kucing Expo 2025 has given us a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with cat owners, share the science behind our products, and encourage responsible pet ownership through initiatives like mixed feeding and portion control. By also promoting veterinary visits, we aim to empower pet owners to prioritise their cats’ long-term health and wellbeing. We are proud to have been part of such a significant platform to connect with Malaysia’s pet-loving community,” said Ms. Teh Meng Li, Market Head of Royal Canin Malaysia.

Royal Canin’s participation at the expo signifies its mission to equip pet owners with the right knowledge to make informed decisions for their cats. To make the learning experience even more engaging, visitors were given a Royal Canin Stamp Card upon registering at the booth, which encouraged them to explore all three interactive stations. Upon completing the circuit, guests were rewarded with exclusive Royal Canin-themed gifts at the redemption counter, making their new education a fun and rewarding journey.

These activities are presented through three dedicated stations, each designed to educate, engage, and inspire cat owners:

  • Kitten’s First Year Journey Station: Illustrations of the unique stages of kittenhood through educational graphics, highlighting how kittens transition across key growth milestones before reaching adulthood after 12 months.
  • Royal Canin Kibble Station: A hands-on portion control game where visitors tested their ability to gauge the correct feeding amounts for cats, underscoring the importance of proper portioning to prevent overfeeding and to promote healthy growth and development. The station also provided in-depth information on the benefits of mixed feeding using Royal Canin’s wet and dry food, and its role in ensuring cats enjoy a healthier and stronger Start of Life.
  • LIP Station: Focused on educating owners about Royal Canin’s L.I.P. (Low Indigestible Proteins), a hallmark of the brand’s food that ensures high digestibility. The educational content highlighted how these proteins help cats absorb essential amino acids needed for the healthy development of vital organs, including the brain.

Royal Canin also shed light on its Take Your Pet To The Vet initiative, reinforcing the critical role vets play in a pet’s lifelong health journey. Across the weekend, visitors had access to dedicated Vet Consultation Booths, with the opportunity to redeem RM30 healthcare vouchers via the Royal Canin Club, loyalty programme at selected partnering veterinary clinics.

To add a playful touch, the Purr-fect Moments Zone offered a photo opportunity inspired by a cat tree, giving guests the chance to capture fun and memorable snapshots of their visit. As the cherry on top, the booth also featured a product sales station, where cat owners could conveniently purchase a wide range of Royal Canin products tailored to their cats’ unique needs.
