A woman allegedly lost her wealth when the man she trusted the most, her husband, left her with a mountain of debt and lawsuits.
According to a Facebook post by Malaysian philanthropist Kuan Chee Heng, more famously known as Uncle Kentang, the woman had initially lived a life of luxury but ended up having to resort to purchasing an RM1 Perodua Kancil from him after going into debt.

Uncle Kentang wrote, “A gritty woman. From a Land Rover to a Kancil. She was left by her husband and is in serious debt litigation. She is reaching 60, is all alone and has no transportation. She was formerly wealthy and lived in a semi-detached house. But fate reduced her to nothing, as the man she trusted left her with tons of debt and demand letters from lawyers.”
“She has a driving license. I asked her if she was willing to take an old Kancil to drive around, as she has no transport, and she said she didn’t mind. From driving a good car to driving a Kancil. I salute her as she does not mind driving an old Kancil during her hardest time. We offered it to her for RM1. I will bring her to our studio, and she may be our moderator for our podcasts. We can pay her an hourly wage,” he added.
Advice from Uncle Kentang
He went on to encourage women to obtain driving licenses to help them earn an income when life gets tough.
Uncle Kentang stated, “In life, there are ups and downs. Where reality hits you, stay strong and get up. Do not drown yourself in sorrow. I encourage all young ladies to even take up motorcycle licenses. Why? At least if your husband leaves you, you can still ride a motorcycle and make a living. I even encourage you to take a 3-wheeler license so that you can use it to find an income.”
“She is a great lady. From an expensive car, she now drives this Kancil. Nothing to be shameful about,” added the philanthropist.
