Time and time again, Malaysians have proven their lack of sportsmanship and abundance of violent tendencies when it comes to football games. So much so, that netizens have called for strict action to be taken to control football fans who light flares and riot following their favourite team’s losses.

Here’s proof as to why this is extremely necessary.

Netizen, Piang Shankly, took to his Twitter account to showcase how the father of a football player was severely beaten up by football players in Terengganu.

He wrote, “The Terengganu Football League tournament earlier this afternoon (January 12). The father to one of the players was beaten up. (He sustained severe) injuries to his head.”

Piang Shankly also showcased videos of the incident, where a group of players were seen attacking the man who was on the ground. People, presumably medics due to them carrying a stretcher, attempted to stop the group but to no avail.

Thankfully, soon after, the attack was stopped thanks to the presence of RELA personnel and the appearance of PDRM officers.

Malaysians have since labeled the perpetrators actions as ‘uncivilised‘ and have once again called for strict action to be taken to prevent such incidents from happening again and frequently.
