Omg, this is horrible!

On Sunday (19 May), a man who was drunk had randomly entered a house and proceeded to allegedly stab a 10-year-old girl with a knife while she was sleeping. This incident happened in Bandar Sungai Long, Kajang, The Star reported.

According to Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof, the 40-year-old man managed to get into the victim’s room and he stabbed her in the chest and stomach. He was quoted as saying,

“We believe he approached the sleeping victim and stabbed her in her chest and stomach.”

The victim’s father was also asleep at that time but was awoken by his daughter’s screams. Soon after, the suspect fled the scene, though he left his motorcycle behind which was parked in front of a nearby shop.

Local police were then alerted about the attack and they dispatched a few teams to locate the drunk suspect. They finally managed to detain the suspect at 3.30am that same Sunday morning and he has since been remanded for a total of six days.

The police also confiscated the weapon the suspect used to stab the girl, which was a knife, as well as a bottle of alcoholic beverage.

As for the victim, she has been sent to receive treatment at the Kajang Hospital. Meanwhile, initial investigations have shown that there is no relationship connection between the suspect and victim as he does not know her. Hence, the cops believe that this was a random attack due to the suspect’s drunken state.

Before the attack happened, it was reported that the suspect was spotted loitering near the victim’s house – which is on the third floor of a shophouse – at about 5am on Saturday (18 May). The suspect also appeared drunk during that time.

Yikes, we hope the girl recovers quickly and that the suspect gets the punishment he deserves if proven guilty.
