Malaysian entrepreneur Datuk Aliff Syukri never seems to shy away from causing controversy. From claiming himself to be the country’s number one male performer, to making an insensitive remark involving his wife.
He has recently found himself in hot water yet again after he had continued recording whilst taking his pregnant wife to hospital due to extreme pain.
On Thursday night (October 20) as he was in the middle of doing a live broadcast on Instagram, his wife, Datin Shahida, suddenly started feeling pain.
The mother-of-five, currently pregnant with their 6th child, complained that she was in pain and started bleeding. Aliff ended the broadcast but did not turn off his camera.
He then shared a video where he managed to capture the scary moments of rushing his wife to the hospital and even filmed her resting on the hospital bed.
In the caption he wrote, “I’m sad, please pray for (my wife and baby’s) health. Everything was chaotic, she was bleeding throughout the journey to the hospital.”
Fortunately, he mentioned that the baby is fine. “But my wife will have to lay and rest for 3-5 months because it is dangerous for her and the baby.”
Why did you record it?!
While some netizens showed sympathy for the family, others criticised the entrepreneur for pulling his camera out to film the whole thing and not giving his wife his full attention.
“Can’t believe you still had the time to make content about it.”
“Datuk, please don’t cause trouble anymore.. later she’d feel stressed out,” said another.
“Don’t make her more stressed. Pity pregnant women, their emotions must be all over the place,” said a user.
Another commented, “Whilst it was a worrying time, you still managed to record it.”
