Dato’ Aliff Syukri is not only known for his successful business but this year, he found more fame when he started performing in the local music industry.

While the reception to his songs may not have been favourable, that has not stopped the controversial entrepreneur to perform more in the future. In fact, in his recent Instagram reel, he teased his fans with a new song which will hit the radio sometime next month.

‘I’m Malaysia’s number 1!’

His new song was not the only thing that he mentioned in his caption however. In the reel which was taken from the talk show ‘Hard To Heart’ recently hosted by Aznil Hj Nawawi, Aliff Syukri made it clear that he’s the country’s number 1 singer!

‘Dato Siti Nurhaliza is Malaysia’s number 1 female singer, and I’m (the) number 1 male singer!”, he cheekily told Aznil.

He also said that there has been a lot of jealousy over his career as a singer in the past few months. When Aznil wanted to respond with a ‘but’, Aliff immediately cut him off and said, ‘But what? Can you show some support?’

‘No, you’re not number 1!’

Malaysians have since shared their take on Aliff’s recent remark about his ‘status’ as the country’s singer. While some of them said that Aliff was simply joking during the talk show, other Malaysians made it clear that they didn’t see him as the country’s number 1 singer.

‘Oh shut up. A frog sings better than you.’

‘Oh God, it’s so hard to talk to him.’

‘Has he taken his medicine?’

A user sarcastically commented and said that Aliff’s secret to success has finally been revealed.

‘No wonder he’s successful. The key to being successful like him is confidence.’

‘Honestly, your voice is no good. But your confidence level is definitely number one!’

‘Up to you, Aliff. It’s pointless arguing with you.’

‘This episode of Hard To Heart has become Hard To Hear.”

A few months back, Aliff Syukri release his single, Kelopok Raya where he can be seen singing and dancing with other male dancers. The song received mixed reviews from fellow Malaysians.

Regardless, do you see him as the country’s number one singer?
