Getting your hair done could be therapeutic for some and one of the most common problem that we’d encounter is not knowing what to do with our hair.
Now, if you’re tired of the same look and want to try something new, we got you!
Fortunately, we managed to speak to a private hairstylist, Keith, who has over a decade of experience and here’s what he thinks is trending:
- Airtouch Beige Blonde Colour – This airtouch technique would offer a seamless blending for your hair and the best part is, it’ll suit everybody!
- Balayage – Balayage is a hand painting technique that creates a natural blending. The highlights are applied to specific areas instead of the whole head. It could be time consuming as it may take up to 8 hours if you have really long hair. But, don’t worry, there’s a new technique called foilayage and it speeds up the process with similar results.
- Under colour – Something new in the trending list would be an under colour. This is definitely suitable for those who would like to experiment with striking colours but does not want to commit a full head bleach. Under colour refers to colouring the underside part of your hair and it’ll be most obvious when you flip and/or tie your hair up.
- Shaggy wolf cut – Tired of your hair looking thin? This cut is a cross between a mullet and a vintage shag, offering the voluminous look and a touch of softness and wearability. Keith’s personal favourite would be to pair a shaggy wolf cut along with an ashy colour!
- Ash pink brown with no bleach – Tired of bleaching and looking for something low maintenance? Look no further as this ash pink brown with no bleach is the way to go. This ash pink brown look would be the best colour combo because once the pink fades off, it will turn into a nice copper brown colour!
- Ombre – Last but not least, the classic ombre! Ombre refers to a highlight technique that is able to blend the colours from light to dark or dark to light! This technique would be more suitable if you’d like to experience wonderful gradients without committing a full head!
According to Keith, some of the colours that are trending now would be: Red-orange, pink-brown Ash grey and blonde!
So, if you’re interested in a particular colour and want to explore options, these few suggestions could be of use! Happy experimenting!
