Recently, Langkawi International Airport was named as s among the only seven airports in the world to be recognized by Airports Council International (ACI) for consistently excellent performance in providing exceptional customer services and facilities.

To celebrate the achievement, former Prime Minister and current Langkawi MP Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed visited the coveted airport.

Shared on his Twitter, @chedetofficial, Tun Mahathir wrote: “I’ve arrived at one of the 7th top airports in the world.”

“Is there anyone else arriving here this weekend?”

In a corresponding Tweet, Tun M was indeed proud of the achievement commending on what his parliament has achieved thus far in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Driving around Langkawi, here is what Tun M had to say “The weather’s nice and there have been no recent reports of Covid-19 in Langkawi.”

“Tourists are also coming back. We even received recognition for being among the seven best airports in the world.”
