Originally located at Publika, The Red Bean Bag has since expanded and relocated to Mutiara Damansara. Avid brunch enthusiasts will surely have heard of this well-known restaurant. The Red Bean Bag hardly ever disappoints with their reliable dishes like pancakes, big breakfast spreads, sandwiches and more.
If you’ve never tasted their food, we highly suggest you try it!
Their new restaurant also has a play area for kids on the second floor so if you’re bringing kiddos along on your date (guess it’s a family date now, huh?) then this place is PERFECT for you.

2. Sin Tong Hong Kopitiam
If you’re both craving a bit more culture then we suggest opting for an Asian style breakfast at this kopitiam that has a good balance of quaint ambiance and tasty, nostalgic food.
Sin Tong Hong Kopitiam’s menu offers traditional dishes such kaya toast, popiah, cucur udang, nasi lemak, and handmade noodles. The kopitiam is highly praised for it’s kaw milk tea and coffee.
Popular coffee shop Sin Tong Hong Kopitiam was first opened in 1999 in Sitiawan and swiftly gained popularity among the people of the northern Perak town. Since then, the kopitiam’s founding family has moved it to the Klang Valley in quest to share their good food with more Malaysians.

3. Blonde
Blonde, a sleek and beautiful restaurant in Bukit Damansara, is totally worth a visit. This classy restaurant is owned by Serai Group (which also owns other popular restaurants like Serai & Jibby Chow) so you know the food is up to standards.
Here, Australian cuisine with a modern twist is served. Blonde is an Instagrammer’s paradise with it’s cotton candy tables, patterned floors, and an abundance of natural light. You’re sure to get nice memorable pictures of your significant other here!

FEEKA is popular among urbanites, hipsters and coffee lovers in KL. The portions for their western – Asian fusion food here is filling and reliably tasty. What we love about this eatery is it’s cute location along Jalan Mesui near Changkat. They’ve got lots of plants and outdoor seating with good working fans so to keep you breezy as you enjoy chatting with your date.

5. Foo Foo
If you’re really serious about this date, (and you know they have a sweet tooth) you HAVE to bring them to Foo Foo, a fine French dessert spot in TTDI.
This café is cozily decorated with plenty of warm lighting, cooling aircon and unique windows overlooking the street. The menu may look a bit intimidating to some as they blend unique (albeit unconventional) flavours together – but honestly, whatever you order is sure to pleasantly surprise you. Hope you and your partner are adventurous with your palate though!
If you like Tuak then you’d be happy to know that they have a decent selection sold here and allll of them are refreshingly booozzzyyy.

If you both enjoy KL’s booming café culture then you might have heard of this place. It’s pleasantly decorated with lots of white, bright spaces and minimal touches – perfect for photos!
Three Years Old Café has a wide selection of cakes, pastries, tea and coffee. But this spot tends to get crowded most times. For a quick tea time session, we suggest you be seated here by 5pm.

8. Sou Omakase Dining
BUT if French cuisine isn’t something you’re looking for then perhaps this fancy shmancy Japanese Omakase restaurant will suit your palate. Be prepared to SPEND and indulge with the freshest of food.
Customers rely solely on executive chef Fukuchi, who was born in Yokohama, and his staff to curate menus that offer a comprehensive exploration of Japanese cuisine as there isn’t an a la carte menu. Omakase loosely translates to “I’ll leave it up to you” in Japanese, as such the chef picks and curates the menu for you – all you have to do is sit and eat.
Their dinner sets are priced around RM350++ so this restaurant is for special SPECIAL occasions. One thing’s for sure though, it’ll be an unforgettable culinary experience.

Out of all the atas rooftop bars we know of in KL – Blue at EQ Hotel is most definitely in our top 5. The interior of this bar is absolutely STUNNING thanks to their genius play with lighting. All their cocktails are good here as well as their wide selection of wine.
