Ketupat, a traditional rice cake wrapped in woven palm leaves, is hard to make if you do not have the right skills to make it work.

In an age where instant ketupat is available in abundance, this pakcik sought help from his Chinese friend to teach him how to weave ketupat, which is quite rare to see these days!

Taking place at an unknown local market, the uncle tried as best as he could to teach his buddy but ended up teasing him when he failed to follow what he did.

In the caption, the video owner writes, “This is what I know. It has been a while since I visited the market with my dad.”

“Days like this don’t come often, and I am fortunate enough to experience this.”

Netizens commenting on the TikTok had this to say.

“When my grandfather passed away, his village friend would come over, drink tea and chat us up. When it was time to send my grandfather to the cemetery, his Malay friends would ride their motorcycles and follow him to his resting place.”

“It should be the other way round. It is always cool to see something as harmonious as this,” commented another.

What say you? Wouldn’t you like to see more of this?
