A video has recently gone viral showing a young boy riding his scooter along a busy main road, an incident believed to have occurred in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

In the clip, the boy is seen travelling in the right lane. Passing cars are forced to slow down to avoid him, while the driver of a four-wheel drive keeps pace alongside the child to act as a shield and ensure his safety.

“Well done, brother in the Hilux. Right from the start, you covered the boy. Who knows, if the boy had veered to the right, it could’ve been dangerous.”

“The Hilux, Alza, and Myvi did a great job for keeping traffic slow and safe.”

“If the rider is underage, track down their parents and report it to the police so they can be held accountable. Otherwise, if there’s an accident involving the kid, innocent people could end up in trouble or even in jail for no reason.”

“Where are his parents? It’s clear they’ve been careless and haven’t taught their child properly. Smart kids wouldn’t use a crossing like this.”
