The news caught the attention of former Youth and Sports Minister, YB Syed Saddiq who congratulated Luqman through his official Twitter account.

Apart from being the top scorer in the AFC Championship, he was also named in the 60 of the best young talents in world football by Guardian. This is also certainly not the first time he will be playing football abroad. Luqman had previously trained with the English side, Cardiff City for 3 months earlier this year.
The young player shows great potential after being discovered in the National Football Development Program (NFDP). He has also previously played in the national team representing the country in many international tournaments.
Surely with the support of fellow Malaysians, we hope that Luqman’s football career will blossom and inspire many more young talents.
