Recently, disturbing videos of a young woman’s suicide in Singapore went viral on social media.
Singapore Coconuts reported that the incident took place on June 12, 2017, at The Interlace condominium and the victim was a 25-year-old domestic worker from Myanmar.
In one video, the woman can be seen squatting at the edge of the condominium building while another lady was trying to calm her down by conversing with her.
Another video shows the moment the poor woman jumped off and landed with a chillingly-loud thud on the ground. Oh gosh, poor thing!
The crowd on the ground could be heard screaming as they witnessed the woman’s suicide.
There wasn’t much info about this case until the victim’s friend posted a status on Facebook claiming that she was abused.
In the post, she wrote,
“We are writing to you, government of Singapore, to protect the Myanmar domestic helpers working in Singapore.
“The loss of our sister was (due to her being) ill-treated by her employer with no proper meals, no food and only water. She has written to us to prove her difficult days with her employer.”
This picture shows the alleged letter that the victim had sent to her sisters.
Of course, no employer would have allowed their domestic workers to visit the agency after mistreating them like that.
“This has lead to no other way out for her but to end her life.”
The police are still investigating the incident.

Naturally, domestic workers from Singapore are deeply saddened by this incident as they post out statuses on Facebook to express their condolences.
May the poor girl rest in peace now and may justice be served ASAP!
