Whilst in public, we all have a duty to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our surroundings. This means that we should clean up after ourselves and ensure that we do not do anything we’re not supposed to such as relieving ourselves.

Recently, RapidKL shared a photo on their official Facebook page last Friday (September 9) of what appears to be poop smeared on the floor of one of its buses.

Poo

The caption on the post reads, “Dear Passengers, for the sake of mutual comfort, we kindly ask for your cooperation to maintain personal hygiene and the surrounding area while on the bus or train.”

In the comments, they added a disclaimer which read, “This was not food. This was human waste. This has happened twice before.”

Simply disgusting!

The post has gone viral and currently sits on over 3,200 likes and 1,600 comments at the time of writing. Malaysians were simply disgusted how someone could possibly even think to have relieved themselves on a public bus service.

A number of netizen urged RapidKL to install CCTVs inside their buses to ensure that such incidences never occur again.

Meanwhile, a few netizens denied that any Malaysian could’ve done this and pushed the blame onto foreigners who ‘crowd’ the buses.

“Do our buses not have CCTVs like buses in Singapore? I believe that Malaysians are not ‘dirty’,” commented a user.

Another commented, “I want to bring my kids on the bus, but yeah whenever I’m on it, it feels like I’m overseas, so just cancel. Last time I took the bus was when I was studying, at that time it was already full of foreigners.”

“Locals don’t go on the bus anymore… it’s usually foreigners that take the bus… KL feels like overseas now,” said another.

Have you ever witnessed anything as disgusting as this?
