A video of a Mid-Autumn festival’s Chang E performing at a school event recently went viral on the internet.

The video shared by Facebook user Shy shows what it looks like a primary school Mid-Autumn festival event. A female performer personating Chang E is hanging and moving on the top to make it seem like she is floating in the sky.

“I laughed so hard, Chang E flew to the moon and turned into a female ghost passing by, are they trying to scare children to death??” the caption says. Contrary to what they were trying to showcase, the hanging female performer looked like a female ghost with her white dress.

笑死我了,嫦娥奔月变成好像女鬼路过一样,要吓死小朋友咩????????????

In case you didn’t know, Chang E is the Goddess of the Moon during ancient times, an important character during the Mid-Autumn festival along with the Moon Rabbit.

The video garnered more than 15k likes and 25k shares at the time of writing, with many netizens commenting on how funny it is. Some are also concerned about the children, thinking they will have nightmares and childhood trauma after seeing it.

We are unsure of the source of the video, but many comments implied that this happened not in Malaysia but in Taiwan.
