The 46th Bon Odori festival was held yesterday (16 July 2022) at the Shah Alam National Sports Complex, and there were around 35,000 people who gathered and celebrate the beauty of the culture.

If you happen to have missed it out or cannot get enough of amusing Japanese festivals like such, fret not, there is another huge Japanese event coming soon at the end of July!

Organised by Trumpet International, this Japanese festival named Nihon Matsuri will be held from 27 to 31 July 2022 at Stadium Bukit Jalil Car Park B. According to the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia, this 5-day long festival will be the largest Japanese event held in Malaysia this year, with the purpose of promoting and advocating Japanese culture to Malaysians.

Nihon Matsuri will be filled with games, cultural performances, photo spots, food, beverages and many more line-ups. According to its official Instagram, there will be sakura and Shinto gate photo spots for Malaysians to experience what it’s like in Japan, as well as various food choices, including Omakase.

Besides, Yosakoi Soran, Kendo and drum performances will also be available. Nevertheless, unlike Bon Odori where people are free to join, Nihon Matsuri’s entrance ticket is priced at RM10, and only valid for a single-day entrance.
