The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that those who have yet to renew their expired driving licenses by June 30, 2022, will find it revoked and issued a summons for driving without a license.

How can the driver obtain one’s driver’s license again? By going through the entire process of getting the driver’s license! Yes, that means attending the driving classes, taking the online computer test, and taking the complete on-the-road driving examination inspected by JPJ authorities!

Your expired license must have expired between a year and three years, and depending on your driving license classification, each vehicle type is affected differently.

  • (More than a year) Learner’s driving licence (LDL)
  • (More than two years) Probationary driving licence (PDL)
  • Competent driving licence (CDL)
  • (Over three years) Public service vehicle (PSV) and goods driving licence (GDL)

The Malaysian Ministry of Transport had previously extended the moratorium from renewing one’s driving licenses and road tax until December 31, 2021 , so there’s no more excuse for saying ‘I thought the moratorium was still in effect”.

What are you waiting for, head to the nearest JPJ Branch tor Pos Malaysia to renew your licences!
