It is common knowledge today that individuals who violate COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) enforced by the government can be fined up to RM10,000, according to the Emergency (Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases) (Amendment) Ordinance 2021.

This ordinance is not only applicable to individuals but to organisations as well, where compound, in the case of a body corporate, a sum of money not exceeding fifty thousand ringgit will be issued to the offender.

Taking much needed precaution, this restaurant and many like it impose a mandatory mask-wearing policy to avoid paying a hefty fine, to the disgust of this one customer.

Here is a video of the incident.

In the beginning of the video, a man brandishing a rather menacing looking stick, destroyed the restauranteurs property which includes a glass shelf unit, a cash register and temperature scanner.

Fleeing the scene, the man was believed to be offended when he was told by restaurant workers to wear his mask before entering their premise.

Whoah! That’s like hundreds in damages!

Seen walking away, the man was later confronted with worker in red uniform, probably restaurant workers who gave the man a taste of his own medicine.

With the video ending shortly after, netizens questioned why the man had to resort to violence and endangered others just because he was told to put on a face mask or be refused entry to the restaurant.

Surely a little bit of patience would do a world of good. Stay tuned for more updates.
