The Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin has just announced that there’s a 2nd case of Omicron in Malaysia.

So in order to take preventative steps to curb the spread of Omicron, Khairy has announced that there will not be any big scale New Year Eve countdown celebrations this year.

However, the minister has said that smaller, private Christmas and New Year’s celebration CAN be held (as of now) with friends and family BUT all guests MUST conduct a test before attending the gathering.

It’s always better to be safe than sorry. Please do not be complacent as we’re still living in a pandemic.
