Recently, a local media had come up with a report to highlight that the Africans don’t deserve the hate they get. However, their inappropriate headline has sparked fury among netizens.

The headline read “not all N*gros are bad” and according to AAREG, the term refers to a member of a dark-skinned group of people particularly from Africa. The word means “black” in Spanish.

However, globally, it is considered offensive to simply address Africans with the word.

Immediately after the release of the report from the local media, netizens were quick to express their disgusts and annoyance towards the inappropriate headline. Some pointed their fingers towards our country’s education system, while others think it is simply a sad reflection of our own people’s ignorance on the term.

In the meantime, some netizens also highlighted how some local media have no sensitivity towards issues like this.
