Addressing the nation at 5.30pm today, Malaysia’s 9th prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob introduced the Malaysia family (Keluarga Malaysia) concept.

He expressed gratitude to the King as well as former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin during the speech. He also thanked the members of parliament that have been supporting him since the start.

“I urge all members of the parliament to help with the recuperation of the country,” he said, adding that everyone should come together to save the Malaysia family (Keluarga Malaysia). “Regardless of religion and race, every one of you are like my own children,” he addressed Malaysians.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri also announced that Malaysia will be receiving 6 million vaccine doses in the Merdeka month. He said that through previous efforts, Malaysia is giving out a consistent, high rate of vaccinations per day, and this effort will be continued to curb the virus.

He thanked the cooperation of Malaysian citizens in optimising the vaccination process and urged all citizens to register for the vaccine.

Stay safe and stay tuned for more updates.
