Truthfully, we all miss our old lives before the pandemic came to town.

The late-night teh tarik sessions, travelling, experiencing fresh air without masks – we miss most of it since we are all now stuck at home most of our waking hours.

Well, a beautiful yet sombre video created by a TikTok user Arissa under the handle @andthatsonari has recently gone viral with many netizen taken aback by how Kuala Lumpur has seemingly turned into a ‘ghost city’.

In the video, netizens are taken across famous sites in Malaysia’s capital city that used to be full of life but now sits empty as the lockdown continues. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Arissa shares that,

“The overall atmosphere of the city was very sad. A place that was once hustling and busy, practically empty.

“It looks like it was taken at 4am, but it was actually 8pm. It was almost surreal.”

The video was then reposted to Twitter by netizen @DivyaRainjana which started to hit many KL-ites right in the feels.

Responding to the video @DivyaRainjana writes, “I didn’t know you could make me cry with a video of KL, but here we are.”

She was not the only one who felt it.

Responding to the tweet, many reminisced on how things were like back in 2019.

All we can say is, let’s hang in there everyone. It won’t be long until our lives get back to how they were, in those days.
