“In facing the challenges of the current pandemic, the government will continue to preserve the welfare of the people, especially those who are still affected. This initiative will be more focused on the vulnerable, disabled and those who have lost their jobs,” he shared.

This includes a one-off RM500 payment to B40 community members who have lost their incomes, and an additional RM500 to BPR recipients who have an income of less than RM1,000.

Both of these categories involve recipients aged 21 to 60 and do not involve any application registration processes. Confirmation of loss of income and cross-checks will be made through the LHDNM, KWSP and PERKESO systems, and the monetary aid will be banked into the recipient’s accounts starting from June 2021.
